Full Garden Transformation in Lady Bay
Installed garden fence turned into full garden transformation project for a delighted client in Lady Bay, West Bridgford, Nottingham.
About This Build
The original garden was well established, but the customer found it high maintenance and over bearing, they wanted to create an open multi levelled decking area, that allowed for multiple uses, outside dining, space for their dog to run around, and a low maintenance planting scheme around the edges. The lawn has been relaid as it was mostly weeds, with new edging to match the boarder to the decking and the black accents throughout the garden.

Low-Maintenance Garden for a North-Facing, Overshadowed Plot, Forest Fields
Creating a private entertaining space and raised vegetable beds for a dark, north-facing terraced garden surrounded by large established trees.
About This Build
This Forest Fields terraced house had a garden that offered next to no privacy and very little natural light — north-facing, boxed in by large established trees on every side, which left the space feeling dark and uninviting rather than somewhere the client wanted to spend time. The brief was to turn that around with an outside seating area for eating and entertaining, along with raised planting beds for growing vegetables and herbs, all while keeping maintenance to a minimum given the shaded, root-heavy conditions. Rough sawn timber and timber sleepers were used to build the raised beds and define the seating area, with slate gravel used for the ground surface — a durable, low-upkeep finish that copes well in a shaded garden where grass would likely struggle.
